Extrusions move at a continuous speed so there are a number of in-line operations that can be performed at a very low cost.
This includes material such as tape, magnet, decorative foils or velcro that can be applied during the extrusion process
A stationary ink jet print head can be used to print phone numbers, date codes, or other information directly on a profile.
Punching or notching profiles can be engineered to operate on a preset basis to provide fabrication during the extrusion process.
Hot stamping applications can also be used to decorate the surface of a profile extrusion. Through a combination of heat and pressure the hot stamping foil is rolled onto a profile. There are almost an unlimited number of foil patterns available: including woodgrains, metallic and holographics.
